Journal

The Journal displays all transactions posted to the General Ledger in chronological order. Filter by date range and store, then view transactions grouped by type or all together. Access from Ledger › Journal.

Filters

Dates

Select a predefined date range (Today, This Week, This Month, etc.). The From/To dates update automatically.

From

Start date for the journal range.

To

End date for the journal range.

Store

Filter transactions by store. Defaults to the current store.

Tabs

General

General journal transactions.

Disbursements

Disbursement (payment) transactions.

Receipts

Receipt transactions.

Sales

Sales transactions.

Purchases

Purchase transactions.

Inventory

Inventory adjustment and transfer transactions.

All

All transaction types in one list.

Columns

Date

Transaction date.

Number

Transaction number.

Type

Transaction type (Invoice, Payment, Journal, etc.).

Account

GL account affected.

Debit / Credit

Debit and credit amounts.

Action Buttons

Refresh

Reload the journal with the current filter settings.

Print

Print the currently selected tab's journal list.

Close

Close the Journal window.
