Kit Production Inquiry

Shows what has been built and unbuilt from kits over a period. A kit assembles component items into a saleable item, and splitting reverses that. This screen totals both directions per kit, then lets you select a kit to see the components consumed or returned and the transactions that moved them — the way to check that kit activity accounts for the component stock that has disappeared. Requires the Kits feature. Access from Inventory › Operations › Kit Production Inquiry.

Selection Criteria

Press Refresh after changing any of these to rebuild both lists.

Date Preset

Preset period such as This Month. Choosing one fills in the From and To dates below.

From

First day of kit activity to include.

To

Last day to include.

Store

Limits the inquiry to kit activity at one store. Leave empty for all stores. Kits are built per store, so this matters when components are held in more than one location.

Kit Item

Restricts the inquiry to a single kit (lookup). Leave empty to list every kit with activity in the period.

Filter

Narrows the kit list by text, useful when many kits are in play.

Kit List

One row per kit with activity in the period. Select a row to load its components into the lower list.

ColumnDescription
Kit NumberItem number of the kit.
DescriptionKit description.
Total BuiltQuantity assembled in the period. Each build consumes components and creates kit stock.
Total SplitQuantity broken back down. Splitting returns components to stock and removes the kit. A kit with heavy activity in both directions usually means it is being assembled speculatively and unwound.

Component Detail

Components of the kit selected above, followed by the individual transactions that built or split it.

ColumnDescription
SKUComponent item number.
DescriptionComponent description.
Total QtyQuantity of that component consumed or returned across the period.
Total CostValue of those components, which is what the kit build capitalised into the finished item.
DateDate of the individual build or split.
StoreStore where it happened.
Tx NumberTransaction number, so the movement can be traced to its document.
ActionWhether the transaction built or split the kit.
QtyQuantity on that transaction.
Inv CostInventory cost applied at the time.

Actions
